DREAM and DO is an international mentorship project created by Mariaelena Mallone, CEO of MIALUIS, to complement the professional training of young women from the township of Philippi, Cape Town (South Africa) through a journey of inspiration, guidance, and personal growth.
The project was developed in collaboration with the Amy Foundation, the Italian-South African Chamber of Trade and Industries, Valeria Ferrero of the Marisa Bellisario Foundation, and under the patronage of the Marisa Bellisario Foundation, in support of CESVI.
The programme brought together women professionals from a variety of industries—including fashion and tailoring, hospitality, beauty, and craftsmanship—who shared their personal and professional experiences with young women aged between 18 and 30, providing practical tools, inspiration, and confidence to help them navigate the world of work.
The aim of DREAM and DO is to promote a culture of gender equality based on economic independence, the value of education, and the belief that talent, when combined with determination and skills, can become a real opportunity for growth.
For MIALUIS, this project represents a tangible expression of Corporate Social Responsibility: contributing, through work and the sharing of experience, to building a future in which more women are empowered to choose their own path with freedom, confidence, and awareness.
